Training Partners
UpSkill Waco training partners are the core of the initiative. These partners provide the skills training, credentialing, and job placement/coaching support for all our participants. Through their dedicated partnerships, we can provide more equitable workforce training pathways for McLennan County residents!
Funding Partners
We are thankful for the many ways our funding partners support UpSkill Waco! From providing scholarships for low-income students to capacity building support, we would not be able to grow and sustain this initiative without our generous partners.
The City of Waco has awarded UpSkill Waco with $75,000 to go towards training scholarships. This will allow us to provide full scholarships to about 60 individuals unable to cover training costs on their own. In addition to the funding, the City has graciously allowed us to use their facilities and community centers as training space.
The Trellis Foundation's Regional Ecosystem Innovation for Reskilling and Upskilling has donated a $250,000 grant to go towards scholarships and to able to add a training coordinator to the team! The coordinator will help us increase the amount of training courses offered across the city.
