Who We Are

UpSkill Waco helps people in our community get the training they need for good jobs that are in high demand. We work with local schools, job programs, and businesses to make it easier for people to learn new skills, earn certifications, and find steady, well-paying work.

We focus on helping people who are unemployed, underemployed, or just getting started—especially young adults ages 18 to 24.

Every training program includes on-on-one support to help participants stay on track, find a job, and succeed long-term.

How It Works

We Learn What Jobs Are in Demand

We talk with local schools, nonprofits, and employers to stay up to date on which jobs are needed most in our community—and what kind of training those jobs require..

We Help You Get Connected

We reach out through job fairs, social media, and community partners to connect with people who are looking for better job opportunities.

We Talk with You One-on-One

Once you fill out the interest form, a friendly UpSkill Waco specialist will call or text you. They'll help figure out what kind of training is the best fit for you—and guide you through the process.

If you qualify, we can often cover the full cost of your training through a tuition scholarship—so you don't have to pay out of pocket.

You Start Training

You'll be matched with a training program at McLennan County Community College (MCC) or Texas State Technical College (TSTC). An advisor there will help you get started and support you while you learn.

We Help You Find a Job

After training, we work with our partners to connect you to job openings that match your new skills.
